Dear friends of music,
Over the following six months SoNoRo, the Pro Patrimonio Foundation and the Order of Romanian Architects are organizing a series of benefit concerts in order to safeguard the collapsing wooden churches from Northern Oltenia and Southern Transylvania.
We are be delighted to invite you to the first concert of the series, which will be performed
on January 28th
starting 19h30
at the National Military Circle, Bizantina Hall
in Bucharest, Constantin Mille Street Nr.1, Sector 1
by three International SoNoRo artists:

The violinist
Erik Schumann
born in Köln, winner of the Leonard Bernstein award, soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig and the Orchestre de Paris and playing a 1713 Stradivarius.

The violist
Razvan Popovici
founder and director of the SoNoRo festival, playing together with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and performing in prominent venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York, as well as on the famous MTV Unplugged show

The cellist
David Cohen
graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School and winner of over 25 international prizes, who was the youngest soloist of the Philharmonia Orchestra London and plays the legendary Domenicus Montagnana Cello of 1715.

During the intermission a cocktail will be served.
The proceedings collected from the event will be utilized for the emergency interventions necessary to save the wooden churches from disappearance. We look forward to your attendance and charitable support.
