KELEMEN CVARTET / HUNGARY
Kelemen Quartet was established in 2009 and soon became one of the best known youth string quartets.
In their very first year, the four young musicians have worked with proeminent artists such as Günter Pichler, Ferenc Rados, Zoltán Kocsis, András Schiff, Gábor Takács-Nagy, Péter Komlós or András Keller.
One speciality of this quartet is that both Barnabás, Gábor and Katalin play with equal mastery both the violin and the viola.
Last year, Kelemen Quartet released its first DVD album and this year their first CD.
The four members of the Kelemen Quartet have participated in several Festivals throughout Europe, in countries such as Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Croatia or Hungary, where they performed alongside famous musicians such as Joshua Bell, Joseph Lendvay, Pekka Kuusisto, Nicolas Altstaedt, Maxim Rysanov, José Gallardo, Peter Frankl and others.
Last spring, Kelemen Quartet undertook its first tour of North America, giving concerts in New York, Greenwich and Dallas.
